Helichrysum essential oil is derived from the flowers of Helichrysum italicum, which grows in regions with dry, high altitudes with a lot of sun exposure. Helichrysum is also known as its French name, Immortelle, which means everlasting. It has been extensively used in many healing applications including acne, bruises, irritated skin, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, and wounds.

Helichrysum Essential Oil Benefits

Helichrysum is a common, traditionally used medicine for wounds healing, skin inflammation, and muscle and joint inflammation. It has antimicrobial properties, which can prevent infection and help wounds heal more quickly.

Combination of Helichrysum oil, Geranium oil, Carrot Seed oil and Frankincense oil would be a great natural remedy for wounds healing including acne scars or stretch marks.

In Aromatherapy, Helichrysum Oil blends well with citrus oils and other floral essential oils. When using Helichrysum oil during your skincare routine, blend it with lavender oil or/and frankincense oil or/and myrrh oil. Always make sure to dilute essential oils with a carrier oil for topical use.
