1. Activate Bluetooth on your phone: Go to Settings → Bluetooth → On. (Do not plug in charger during pairing.)
2. Place your original AirPods into the charging case and open the lid. Long press the sync button until the green light flashes.
3. Wait patiently without repeatedly opening and closing the lid while your phone pairs with AirPods.
4. When the pop-up shows "AirPods" or your AirPods' name, tap "Connecting" and wait. Then press the sync button to stop the flashing light or wait for it to stop automatically. If you see "Not Your AirPods," activate pairing mode again and select "Via iCloud Connecting," or ignore and wait for the Bluetooth pairing pop-up.
5. Reopen the lid, wait 2 seconds, and when connected, take out and wear your AirPods.
