The George Nelson Saucer Bubble Lamp series was first developed by Nelson in 1947 and were produced by Howard Miller in 1952. The George Nelson Saucer Bubble Lamp is seen as an iconic piece of American modernism. The entire George Nelson Bubble Lamp Series is now part of a permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

These unique pendant lights were designed by Nelson to eliminate glare, offering a diffused light by constructing the lamp using taut plastic over a steel wire-frame. The result is a balanced, warm glow of light. The Saucer Bubble Lamp is a modernists dream; it brings energy and life to a range of spaces and is classic piece of modern design.

George Nelson is considered one of the founders of American modernism and is credited with producing some of the most iconic modernist furniture and lighting of the 20th century.
