On 16 July 1969, the gigantic Saturn V launched from Cape Canaveral, marking a pivotal moment in human history. This giant Saturn V rocket, standing 110 m tall and weighing 3,000 tons, was capable of carrying a payload of 50 tons and reached speeds of 11.2 km/second. The journey to the moon covered 394,000 km and took 72 hours. After achieving low Earth orbit, the Apollo capsule was propelled towards the Moon, where it eventually detached to complete its historic mission.
