Royal Air Force Red Arrows Aerobatics Glider
The Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team, better known as the Red Arrows, fly the Hawk T1 aircraft. All of the pilots have a minimum of 3 years operational experience before being selected to join the team. The selection process is tough and starts, for those pilots shortlisted, evert April with a one week intensive flying evaluation. Successful candidates are informed every May and it takes them a further 12 months before they can undertake public displays as part of the world famous Red Arrows.
