Scottie Go! for Education is an innovative combination of an interactive educational application, designed as a gamified course of programming basics (suitable for a primary school level), and cardboard tiles which students use to compose programs.

Scottie is a brave, inquisitive and clever little alien who keeps coming across amazing adventures while trying to learn more about the world around him. It's the year 2030, and his spaceship suddenly malfunctions and crash lands on planet Earth. Now he needs students' help! Their mission is to help him find the 10 lost parts of his ship, which have scattered around Earth, so that he can go back to his home planet. To achieve that, they have to code - create proper programs for Scottie with the cardboard tiles - and complete 91 quests of increasing difficulty. In the process, they will discover and learn more about key programming concepts.

The kinesthetic aspect of play helps children overcome barriers concerning understanding abstract concepts and facilitates teamwork. Carefully designed game environment gradually introduces players into the world of programming and develops their algorithmic intuition.
