The razor sharp blade of the Shun Classic Chef's Knife is extremely durable, corrosion resistant, and will stay sharper for much longer than other forged steel Knives. The Shun Classic Chef's Knife also features a D-shaped, Pakkawood, ebony handle which is not only comfortable to hold but offers ultimate control as well as being sturdy, perfectly balanced and moisture resistant due to being infused with waterproof resin making it as resilient as plastic.
