Full Description

U-POL P40/S (ISOPON P.40) is a two-component polyester fibreglass filler specifically designed for bridging holes and rust damage in metal panels. Its reinforced formula provides a tough, long-lasting repair that can fill holes up to 75 mm across.

With a fast gel time (4-7 minutes depending on temperature and hardener ratio), P.40 sands down easily after just 15-20 minutes, allowing you to progress quickly to priming and painting. Once cured, it is water-resistant, ensuring durability even in harsh environments.

Application details:

• Mix with benzoyl peroxide (BPO) hardener (3-5% depending on temperature)

• Maximum fill depth per layer: 4-7 mm

• Sanding: Start with P80-P120, finish with P180-P240

• Recommended prep: Clean and degrease (SYSTEM 20), abrade bare steel (P80), aluminium/painted surfaces (P180), fibreglass (P180). For large holes, reinforce with aluminium mesh.

Finish: Can be skimmed with standard filler or painted directly with solvent- or water-based paint systems. For best adhesion and finish, use a SYSTEM 20 primer before painting.
