It is filled to 90% capacity with Mobil XHP 222 high-pressure waterproof grease, ensuring durability against daily wear and environmental exposure. Commonly utilized as a hub bearing in certain quick-release hub designs, it can also serve as a pivot bearing, although the MAX-type variant is more appropriate for suspension applications.

Enduro exclusively utilizes 440C stainless steel balls and races, delivering exceptional durability and corrosion resistance in challenging environments. This alloy, with the highest strength, hardness, and wear resistance among standard 440-series stainless steels, undergoes multiple heat and cryogenic treatments to enhance its mechanical performance. While stainless steel offers about 20% less load capacity and is slightly softer than the 52100 chromium steel commonly used in other bearings, it remains an excellent choice for wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or exposure to sweat.

The Enduro bearing range includes options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 materials with either ceramic or stainless steel balls. Each bearing is designed with the deepest groove races possible to fit larger balls, enhancing load capacity and durability. Dual-lip seals run within a micro-groove, forming a complete labyrinth that offers exceptional protection against contaminants and harsh environmental conditions.
