Why do I see a blued spot rather than a dot? If you see a blued spot on the target it means the laser bore sighter is not align with the barrel. The laser hit and reflect in the barrel. What you need to do is to adjust the position of the sighter in the chamber until you see a red dot on the target. At that point the laser is align with the barrel. Then you need to push the bolt to secure the position of the sighter.
Does this bore sighter fit my gun? If your gun's barrel size the same to the listed size. Then yes it could work. Guns and ammos are different from one to another so some of the guns may need some adjustment when use. A bore sighter gives you a general idea where your bore is heading to. For maximum accuracy you may still need to shoot to see the real point of the target but a bore sighter can save you time and money spend on ammunition. Moreover it is more accurate than the front load laser sighter.
Instruction of use:
1. Place the batteries into the bore sight housing. Batteries should be placed in the bore sight negative side first. Removing the batteries from the bore sight for storage is highly recommended. A battery discharged in your bore sight could possibly destroy your unit.
2. Replace the end cap twisting to the right until the end cap lightly seals. This activates the bore sight laser.
3. Place the bore sight into the corresponding weapon's chamber (always maintain laser safety rules) using the correct bore sight for the calibre to be sighted. Slowly close the bolt action for maximum sighting accuracy.
