This FAR exceeded my already high expectations from other reviews, getting older I’ve noticed more of those ‘why does this body part ache this morning?’ times and the quality, thickness (I got the 10cm) and incredible comfort are outstanding for the price. The ultimate standout is the added level of support though, sleeping on it for a couple of weeks now the random yet regular shoulder, neck or back pain I used to wake up with some mornings just stopped happening from the first night I used the mattress topper on my bed. I must toss and turn less in my sleep as well and the memory gel foam stabilises the whole surface of the bed… one of the first nights I used it, I fell asleep with an open half-full Pump water bottle propped on a pillow beside my body and in the morning it hadn’t budged (I’d made the same error about a month prior and overnight it tipped and gradually poured the entire contents onto the centre of my mattress under my body, thank goodness for waterproof mattress protectors!). I actually purchased this mattress topper hoping for some decent support and also to try and get a bit more mileage from my mattress before I have to replace the whole thing, it didn’t let me down in either of those goals and is actually far better than I could have anticipated. Some people have complained about a smell when you first get it, I followed the instructions and laid it out flat in the spare room for about 48 hours with a window partially open for ventilation, and honestly there wasn’t any particularly noticeable smell you wouldn’t get from any new bedding. I also put a new high quality mattress protector on it then clean linen so the ‘smell’ issue some people raised was just completely nonexistent. I did have some concerns about the additional height of the mattress topper on my mattress fitting standard mattress protectors and linens (it’s 10cm of the foam but with the quality cover and edging it’s closer to 16cm when you put it on), but fortunately everything fits. It’s a tighter fit than usual, I have a pillow top Sealy Posturepedic mattress, but no issues with my standard queen size mattress protectors or fitted sheets fitting properly or slipping off at all. I’ve been so impressed that I already bought one for my dad as well, absolutely recommend to anyone.
