The SMAI Floor Mounted Boxing Ring offers an entirely self-supporting option. Manufactured from a high-grade steel frame with bracing posts the ring allows you to achieve the top rope tension without affecting the structural integrity of the frame. The perfect option for those setting up within a space that has low overhead clearance. This ring has all the key features of a competition style ring however it is simpler in construction to allow it to be much more economical in pricing. The corner posts are braced to the floor of the frame on both sides using a large turnbuckle system. This is to counter balance the force created by the tensioning of the ropes on the corner post pads to ensure that you get top rope tension to a fully horizontal position without damaging or bending your corner posts.
Specifications
It is essential when installing the floor ring that you read and follow instructions provided. This is because the corner posts much be adjusted and tensioned into an outer position using the bracing arms prior to fitting and tensioning the ropes to ensure that the corner posts are balanced.
Note: SMAI has developed a method to strengthen the way in which the mesh for cages is attached to the panels. This has been done by adding additional PVC and nylon reinforcement to prolong the life of the product without allowing it to sag or bow under continual use. However after extended periods of use (of around 2 - 3 years) it may become necessary to re-tension the mesh and this work should be completed by a professional. It is the responsibility of the client to conduct this maintenance as it is considered general maintenance due to usage.

Custom Order
The SMAI Professional Boxing Ring is available via a custom order. This is available on sizing colours and printing. We require a 50% deposit on custom ordered boxing rings and cages which is non-refundable. The remaining 50% must be paid seven days prior to dispatch.
If custom sizing ring is ordered below standard height we recommend the corner posts to be manufactured with additional bracing. The corner posts may also need to be permanently dyna-bolted to the floor to counteract the force on the corner posts from tensioning the ropes. In these circumstances it is essential that all the support measures be in place and fully extended prior to tensioning the ropes to avoid warping the frame.
