Whether you shoot with a mobile device or a camera, the BOYA BY-MM1 Pro Stereo/Mono Switchable Shotgun Mic offers the flexibility of selectable sound pickup orientation as well as improved audio quality over the mic built into your device. The BY-MM1 PRO utilizes two supercardioid capsules (one at each end) and a 3-position switch to enable selectable directionality from the front, the rear, or both ends. Vloggers, mobile journalists, and run-and-gun videographers of all experience levels will benefit from the mic's simple operation; it requires no batteries because it runs on plug-in power from your device. The BY-MM1 PRO features an attached coiled cable with a right-angle 3.5mm TRRS mini plug for connecting the mic to your smartphone, tablet, DSLR, camcorder, or portable audio recorder, and it features a dedicated 3.5mm headphone port, enabling easy monitoring of the audio signal while the main output remains connected to your recording device.
The Rycote detachable shockmount attaches directly to your camera's shoe mount and reduces rumble and camera-handling noise. To reduce noise from wind and fans, foam windscreens (for indoor use) and furry windshields (for outdoor use) are supplied with the BY-MM1 PRO.
Durable and small, the aluminum-bodied BY-MM1 PRO measures only 3.3" long and weighs only 2.4 ounces. This makes it an unobtrusive companion piece for your shooting rig.
Equipped with two supercardioid condenser capsules (one at each end of the mic) and a 3-position switch, the BY-MM1 PRO lets you select from three directional pickup modes to have the mic focus on sound in front of it, behind it, or both.
The BY-MM1 PRO boasts two 3.5mm outputs—a TRRS main output on an attached coiled cable for connection to your recording device and a TRS headphone output for convenient monitoring of the input signal or playback from compatible apps.
Since the mic runs on plug-in power from your recording device, it needs no batteries or phantom power.
The removable Rycote Lyre shockmount attaches directly to the shoe mount of a camera and effectively inhibits vibrations from transferring to the microphone. The included furry windshields are ideal for minimizing unwanted wind noise in outdoor shoots, while the foam windscreens are preferable when working indoors.
All orders are delivered using Australia Post (or their sub-contracted courier services).

All digiDirect parcels require a signature upon delivery. An "Authority to Leave" will not be accepted under any circumstances. However, If you are not in attendance at the time of delivery, the driver will leave an "Attempted Delivery" card and your parcel will be returned to your local post office for collection. Government recognised photo I.D. displaying your address must be presented along with your "Attempted Delivery" card upon pick up.

According to the Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. Please keep this is mind and purchase with care, as we can not guarantee to accept your change of mind return request.
However, you may still be entitled to a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem.

- is significantly different from the sample or description.
- doesn't do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can't be easily fixed.

When submitting a return after speaking to one of our customer support team members, please make sure to include ALL original packaging, contents etc.
Depending on the situation and if the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement. Please keep your proof of purchase - e.g. your receipt or email order confirmation.
