These tracks mark the birth of an Urban Jamaican musical style and featured well known Mento artists such as Lord Tanomo, Count Lasher & Count Sticky as well as Laurel Aitken, whose blending of mento with JA Gospel and US R&B created a whole new style of Jamaican music:.
