Carved 1 Day Leaf & Bird 20cm Cuckoo Clock By TRENKLE

This traditional carved 1 day Cuckoo Clock by Trenkle is a certified German Black Forest cuckoo clock produced in Schwarzwald, commonly known as The Black Forest. Built by craftsmen well known for their carving skills, this clock is a great example of many high quality traditional Black Forest cuckoo clocks. The cuckoo calls the time each hour and then once at half past.

These leaf and bird carvings are featured on many of the early cuckoo clocks and still make up one of the most popular styles of cuckoo clock carving. The ornamental leaves around the front of the clock are characteristic of the traditionally carved cuckoo clocks. The frame of leaves is often crowned with a carved bird, however can also feature deer, owls or our custom designed and elaborately carved hunting style with boar head.
