The sonar sensor reflects the signal to the fish finder handheld when it detects fish and fish schools. Then the device alerts you and no worry about missing big fish any more.
The fishing depth finder is powered by 4xAAA batteries, and you finally get rid of troubles of USB charging all the time. Turning on the battery saving mode, the fish finder handheld can be working continuously for more than 5 hours.
LCD display allows data readout even in the sunshine. Meanwhile, when fishing at night, blue back light mode allows data readout in darkness.
Sensitivity adjustment function helps getting accurate depth data no matter fishing in clear water or turbid. It also helps fishing transducer distinguish small fish and big fish by setting different sensitivity levels.
Press "Enter" button for 5 seconds, then you can freely switch the measurement unit by ft/m.
There are two working mode for the kayak fish finder, normal mode and demo mode. Press the power bottom for 3 seconds, the fish finder will be in demo mode automatically. In order to get accurate detection data, please restart the device and get into normal mode instead.
You can't use it in swimming pool because the transducer doesn't work in small space. The sonar technology is based on sound pulse. The transducer send a sound pulse signal and determines distance by measuring the time between the transmission of the sound pulse when the sound pulse is reflected off an object. If the water space is small, the time is too short to measure the data you concerned

Bought this for my son and he loves it. Says it allowed him to not waste time fishing for fish that aren’t there. He’s able to maximize his time by casting into an area where he knows there are fish. Great product!

I'm glad I bought the Lucky fish finder. The water depth is accurate and the fish alarm is helpful to let you know there are fish around you. It helped me catch a nice sized bass. The fish finder made fishing more fun!

does a great ob of giving the depth of water you are fishing in and if it picks up any fish passing by. I really enjoy using it and knowing how many feet of water I'm in and if there are any fish and obstacles in the water below.

Overall the product is pretty simple, but it does work. I primarily use it for depth finding and structures, if the fish don't move, it doesn't see them anyways. It seems to pick up sunfish and other smaller fish pretty well, although I have a hard time determining exactly what size fish is the small medium and large. Overall good for what it is and true to description. I don't see myself needing something more for my kayak for a while.

When I bought this I had my doubts but after going to the lake and using I was amased the fish it would actually find we had a great day that day fishing for the price its worth it we had a more expensive one but broke and I would say this one is better than it was.

Figured I would share my preliminary results of using the portable fish finder in saltwater conditions. The unit itself feels like a professional hand held device and has a solid feel. The wire connection that connects the sonar and the monitor has a quick disconnect, care needs to be taken here so that it does not disconnect during usage. However, I have not had that issue, even in rough jersey shore seas. The sonar device can be mounted on the boat hull, a fishing pole, or you can just use the included float. If you are using the float make sure that the wire does not sink to the bottom, this could snag it. In terms of corrosion resistance, the sonar is holding up pretty well so far, as well as the wire. In-water testing was also successful, unit picks up under water structures, and accurate depth. Schools of fish show up very well and it was really nice to see a functioning unit that was not $2500. The LCD display is easy to read and features a back light that can be turned off to save battery life. I would highly recommend this unit for people that are looking for a fish finder that doesn't break the bank.
