Robert Gordon is one of Australia’s largest potteries and have been manufacturing high fired stoneware for over 25 years.
The equipment they use is a mix of traditional and modern tools.
New shapes are developed on the thrower's wheel or slab roller.
From there, production techniques include slip casting, and other presses and machines.
Unused clay from production is recycled and made into slip or milled.
Each piece passes through the hands of skilled crafts people.
The principles of timeless design along with an emphasis on quality, ensure that any purchase has longevity.
Glazes are designed and developed on site.
Each piece of pottery is glazed by hand, allowing for slight variations and idiosyncrasies that makes the pottery truly unique.
Robert Gordon uses a stoneware clay body that is twice fired for added strength. With the bisque fire at 1000c and gloss fire at 1280c, resulting in fully vitrified pieces that will not absorb any moisture.
Returns Policy
You are entitled to a refund, repair, exchange or credit if the products you’ve purchased from Culinary Republic are faulty. Goods must be returned to us unused in the original packaging. The cost of returning the item will only be refunded if the item is faulty, or if it differs from the advertised product. We are unable to accept responsibility for any parcels returned to us until they are safely received, so please pack return items well.
Where a problem with a product is not a major fault, Culinary Republic can choose whether to repair or replace the item or provide a refund. Please contact us and state the fault, product description, include image and invoice number in the email.
Culinary Republic has an excellent relationship with their suppliers. So major faults are dealt with quickly by the supplier or where we can; we will deal with the issue for you quickly. For all other issues or concerns with your purchased goods please contact us.
