Sundstrom SR500 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator PAPR Fan Unit (Pre-owned)
The Sundstrom SR500 is a belt mounted Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) used as an alternative to negative-pressure filter respirators in situations where these are recommended. When paired with a hood, face shield or full face mask it protects against particulates, gases and vapors, or a combination. It is designed to be used in oxygen sufficient and non-immediately dangerous environments. This applies particularly to work that is hard, warm or of long-duration. The above-atmospheric pressure generated prevents pollutants from the surroundings from penetrating into the breathing zone. The fan unit can be used with Sundström hoods, face shields or full face masks (sold separately).
