A member of the esteemed “Hibiki” collection of blended Japanese whiskies from international powerhouse, Suntory. Unlike other blends from Japan, Hibiki is fully made with Japanese spirit, with malt from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, and grain whisky from Chita. To create this dram’s harmonious profile, five cask varieties were used, including the rare Mizunara Japanese oak. The latest iteration of Japan's most highly awarded blended whisky, Hibiki.Hibiki first hit the shelves in 1989 to celebrate the Suntory company's 90th birthday. It's said that during the production process, Hibiki's Master Blender tastes more than 300 samples a day (a tough job)!The same meticulous approach is reflected by the bottle design, with the 24 "panes" of the bottle corresponding to the 24 phases of the Japanese Lunar Calendar. The purple accent on the decanter's neck is also significant, as purple is Japan's imperial colour, associated with nobility.Hibiki Harmony is aptly named, with the whisky's title describing its contents – a well balanced marriage of malt and grain spirits.
