RX1217 and RX1217RP are 12-bay storage expansion units designed to provide seamless capacity expansion for select Synology RackStations. Volume expansion & backup When drive capacity is running low on a Synology RackStation, Synology RX1217/RX1217RP offers an easy way to immediately expand storage by providing 12 additional drive slots. The RAID volume on the Synology RackStation can be expanded directly without having to reformat the existing hard drives, ensuring service continuity during the expansion process. To ensure 24/7 service uptime, Synology RX1217RP is equipped with redundant power supplies, allowing automatic failover support if one of the PSUs fail. When created as a separate volume, Synology RX1217/RX1217RP also serves as an additional local backup destination for Synology RackStations. Reliable plug-and-use design Synology RX1217/RX1217RP securely connects to Synology RackStation servers with a high-bandwidth expansion cable, ensuring maximum data throughput and smooth operation — as if they are part of the internal drives of Synology RackStation. SATA 6Gb/s interface ensures the installed drives provide high quality, outstanding data processing performance. Green & easy to manage Hibernation mode can be manually configured to start automatically when the system has been inactive for a period of time. This not only saves energy but also extends the lifespan of hard drives. RX1217/RX1217RP will also smartly power on/off with the attached RackStation, so no user intervention is needed to keep this system running smartly and efficiently.The Synology RX1217RP 12-Bay Storage Expansion Unit sports 12 hot-swappable drive bays so you can expand your Synology RackStation's storage capacity. The RX1217RP connects to your Synology RackStation via an included Infiniband cable, which helps ensure maximum data throughputs. For expansion, each of the bays is capable of holding a single 2.5" hard drive, 3.5" hard drive, or 2.5" SSD. Other notable features include three 80mm fans that cool your drives and the RX1217RP. Moreover, two redundant 500W power supplies are on board to provide 24/7 operations in the event one PSU fails. So please ensure there is sufficient packaging to protect the product whilst in transit back to us.

For RTB (return to base) warranty claims, customers are required to send the unit back to zotim or the authorized service center with the proof of purchase and a detailed fault description. Zotim recommends customers use our online RA (return authorization) system to obtain more information of the warranty procedure and also to conveniently track your warranty for updates.

For direct manufacturer warranty claims, customers are recommended to contact the manufacturer’s technical support to lodge the warranty claims and organize pickup and delivery service. Please note, Zotim do not provide the pickup service on the behalf of the manufacturer. It is highly recommended the customer’s contact manufacturers directly to ensure quick warranty service and turnaround.

Change of Mind Returns
1. Zotim will allow a return for refund or exchange product where you have changed your mind, provided that the item in question is: returned within 14 days of receiving order; as new and is not used, worn, or opened and has all original packaging and tags in-tact (including any package seals (if any) being unbroken); in a resalable condition; and not damaged in any way. We cannot accept change of mind returns on items that come in sealed packages or boxes where seals are damaged or broken. To return your item for change or mind, you must follow our returns process, You will be responsible for the cost and risk of returning goods, including the cost of return shipping. If the item is not received by us, you will not be eligible for a exchange. We recommend you insure high value items that you return for change of mind. You may be provided with a product exchange, refund only when the returned product is received, and it complies with the requirements of clause 1 above.
