Storage capacity expansion When the storage capacity on Synology 1U RackStation reaches its limit, Synology expansion unit RX418 provides easy capacity expansion by adding 4 3.5"/2.5" SATA drives to the system. Synology RX418 can also be used as a dedicated local backup destination of Synology 1U RackStation for comprehensive data protection. Reliable plug-and-play design Simply connect Synology RX418 to corresponding Synology RackStation and it is ready to use. Drives in the connected Synology RX418 operate as though they were internal to the connected Synology NAS and can be managed directly by Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), with no additional software installation required. Green and easy to manage Award-winning Synology DSM provides an intuitive user interface for easy system management. Drive hibernation can be configured in DSM to take effect automatically when the system has been inactive for a period of time. This not only saves energy but also extends the lifespan of the installed drives.The RX418 4-Bay Expansion Unit from Synology is designed to provide storage expansion for their RS818+ RS818RP+, RS815+, RS815RP+, RS816, and RS815 NAS arrays. It can also be used as a dedicated local backup destination for Synology 1 RU RackStation arrays for comprehensive data protection. The four drive bays of the RX418 natively support 3.5" and 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. The drives are hot-swappable and there is also RAID management through Synology Disk Station Manager. The RX418 is equipped an eSATA port, which allows for connectivity with your host NAS, and operates using a 100W power supply that run using 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz. Included is an accessory pack, an AC power cord, and an eSATA cable.

For direct manufacturer warranty claims, customers are recommended to contact the manufacturer’s technical support to lodge the warranty claims and organize pickup and delivery service. Please note, Zotim do not provide the pickup service on the behalf of the manufacturer. It is highly recommended the customer’s contact manufacturers directly to ensure quick warranty service and turnaround.

Change of Mind Returns

Zotim will allow a return for refund or exchange product where you have changed your mind, provided that the item in question is: returned within 14 days of receiving order; as new and is not used, worn, or opened and has all original packaging and tags in-tact (including any package seals (if any) being unbroken); in a resalable condition; and not damaged in any way. We cannot accept change of mind returns on items that come in sealed packages or boxes where seals are damaged or broken. To return your item for change or mind, you must follow our returns process, You will be responsible for the cost and risk of returning goods, including the cost of return shipping. If the item is not received by us, you will not be eligible for a exchange. We recommend you insure high value items that you return for change of mind.
