Category: Family & Relationships
Book Format: Hardcover

An epic celebration, resource and ultimate gift book for and about dads.
The Greatness Of Dads is a book of stories, inspirations, insights, wisdoms, embarrassments and truths about dads all over the globe. A modern miscellany of anecdotes, quotes, interviews, poems, letters and portraits, The Greatness of Dads is for, and about, the men who become fathers to children.

Founded on original interviews with big kids, small kids-kids of all sorts- in 50 countries around the world talk about their dads and their answers provide rich, quirky and intelligent cultural insights into the man who is "a son's first hero and a daughter's first love."

Add to that quotes about some of the best-known dads, song lyrics, artworks and images of dads throughout the decades, literary celebrations of, and pop-culture references to, father figures, and the result is an original, inspiring, colourful and unforgettable book that gathers together the universal threads of fatherhood-love, discipline, responsibility, fun, embarrassment and heartbreak-that can be found the world over.

The Greatness Of Dads is the ultimate gift book for dads everywhere- whether they be expectant dads, granddads, foster dads, godfathers, dads-by-proxy-anyone who is, has or is about to be, a dad.

About Kirsten Mathew
Marc Ellis is an ex-professional rugby union and rugby league player, a businessman, husband and a loving father of two. He has written four books, including his memoir, Crossing the Line, Good Fullas and Top to Bottom, and a cookbook that he's never cooked anything from. He is full of great ideas (that he actually acts on), easily bored, surprisingly sentimental and, like his father Chris, believes that 'if you can dream it, you can do it'. He judges his success in life on what kind of father he is - everything else, he says, is completely irrelevant.
Kirsten Matthew has worked as a writer and editor for almost 20 years. A native New Zealander, she has spent most of her career working in New York as an editor at InStyle.com, the New York Post and Page
Six magazine. She has written for The New York Times and Time Out New York, and many other newspapers and magazines.
