Captain Toad stars in his own puzzling quest on the Nintendo Switch(TM) system! Our stubby hero must dodge dangers and track treasures across many trap-filled courses. Survive smouldering volcanoes, hazardous steam engines, haunted houses, and even new courses based on the Super Mario Odyssey(TM) game! Luckily, a second player can join in by tossing turnips at enemies.

Play anytime, anywhere, and anyway you want - even in two-player mode using a pair of Joy-Con(TM) controllers on one Nintendo Switch system - in TV mode or Tabletop mode. You could also play alone in handheld mode! While one player controls Captain Toad, the other can assist with things like turnip cover fire. No matter what, explore each puzzling course for treasure, like hidden Super Gems and Power Stars. As you reclaim the treasure stolen by the monstrous, greedy bird, Wingo, you'll eventually be able to play as Toadette! These tiny heroes must waddle, hide, pluck, chuck, and power-up through enemy-infested locales like towers, wild-west shanties, and Goomba waterparks - all bursting with secrets. Aim your head-mounted flashlight at adventure!

Equipped with nothing more than a neck scarf, backpack and oversized headlamp, Captain Toad finds hidden gems, coins and power-ups on his way to the gold star at the end of each tricky, trap-filled stage.
Captain Toad isn't particularly fast or strong. He can't jump and he has no superpowers. But he knows that sometimes, it's all about wits and perspective.
Twist the camera to reveal hidden locations and other secrets. In handheld mode, the Switch offers a closer view of the dangers and hidden items in each maze, and its gyro controls can also be used to peer around.
Captain Toad's world is brimming with life, with dangerous enemies, tricky platforms, nasty traps and secrets to uncover. Each stage is its own puzzle to solve, and littered throughout are hidden items in hard-to-reach places. Can you help our tiny adventurer survive to find them all?
