The Saphir Lite range utilizes the natural properties of sapphire the second hardest precious stone after diamond. Its blasted onto the cooking surface at 20000C creating an extremely hard and durable surface resistant to cuts and scratches. The sapphire layer is then reinforced further with an anticorrosive layer and baked at 450C. This process creates not only a scratch resistant surface but also heat resistant surface up to 450C that will never warp bubble or blister. The pan itself is made from squeezed cast aluminium which makes it durable and allows it to heat up quickly an evenly but its still lightweight and easy to handle. The handles are heat resistant up to 260C and so the pan can also be used in an oven. The pan is made in Germany and comes with a lifetime limited warranty. Its dishwasher safe.
