Like other H-Series Handy recorders such as the H4n Pro and H5, you can hold it in your hand, attach it to a mic stand or tripod, or mount it to a camera (shoe mount available separately); the H6 All Black packs an impressive array of features into a rugged, rubberized body that's more than ready to meet the varied demands of musicians, content creators, videographers, and sound designers.
From the intuitive, tactile controls to the plentiful battery life and powerful audio processing functions, the H6 All Black is well equipped for producing pristine audio for complete musical arrangements, independent films, and panel podcasts. It can supply phantom or plug-in power for condenser mics, or accept direct connections from synths, keyboards, drum machines, or +4 dB line-level mixers. No matter the source, selectable auto-recording and pre-recording ensure that you'll never miss the start of a take, and stereo safety track recording provides duplicate tracks at a lower level to avoid distortion.
The H6 All Black 2020 Version is presented in a sleek, solid black finish and includes a single stereo mic capsule while the original H6 sports a gray finish, two interchangeable stereo mic capsules, and premium accessories (protective case, foam windscreen, and USB cable). Both versions include four AA batteries for powering the H6 on the go.

The H6's included X/Y capsule employs two angled high-quality unidirectional mics which are sensitive to signals coming from the front but less to signals coming from the sides and rear. When you want to cover a wide area and still capture a strong centre image, this is a perfect choice.
“Mid-Side” recording brings a whole new level of precision in your ability to shape the sound. The MS Capsule contains dual mic elements - a forward-facing, unidirectional mic (the “Mid”) and a side-facing, bi-directional mic (the “Side”). Together with the H6's onboard MS decoder, they capture a fully mono-compatible stereo image that can be adjusted after recording.
The XYH-5 X/Y microphone capsule provides two matched unidirectional condenser microphones set at a 90 degree angle. These mics are housed within an advanced shockmount that employs rugged external mic wires and rubberized material to minimize vibration and handling noise. The design of the XYH-5 also allows it to handle extremely loud sounds — 140 dB SPL, to be precise — making it perfect for capturing the sound of live rock concerts and for electronic news gathering.
The optional SGH-6 Shotgun Capsule adds a professional-quality, highly directional microphone to the H6, creating an ideal audio setup for film, video, live theater, and ENG (electronic newsgathering) applications.
This unit gives you two more inputs, transforming your H6 into the world's smallest six-track recorder. Connect up to six discrete signals from external microphones, instruments, mixers, or portable music players to fully realize your audio vision.
The SSH-6 Stereo Shotgun capsule adds a super-directional mic for capturing sounds directly in front, plus a bi-directional one for capturing ambient sounds. It's ideal for location recording, allowing videographers and content creators to capture dialogue or narration with the centre microphone and mixing in the desired amount of environmental sound captured by the side microphone.
All orders are delivered using Australia Post (or their sub-contracted courier services).

If you do not receive your package within this time frame, please notify us as soon as possible so we can help follow it up with AusPost.
All digiDirect parcels require a signature upon delivery. An "Authority to Leave" will not be accepted under any circumstances. However, If you are not in attendance at the time of delivery, the driver will leave an "Attempted Delivery" card and your parcel will be returned to your local post office for collection. Government recognised photo I.D. displaying your address must be presented along with your "Attempted Delivery" card upon pick up.

According to the Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. Please keep this is mind and purchase with care, as we can not guarantee to accept your change of mind return request.

When submitting a return after speaking to one of our customer support team members, please make sure to include ALL original packaging, contents etc.
Depending on the situation and if the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement. Please keep your proof of purchase - e.g. your receipt or email order confirmation.
